There are a number of large real estate firms in Walnut Creek and surrounding areas, both national franchises and those locally owned and operated. What they all share is a common model of doing business – hiring anyone with a real estate license as an independent contractor to sell real estate under their name – no requirement of any experience or training. In many firms, they simply show new agents to their desk and wish them good luck. If they succeed, it’s money in the bank, and if they fail, they’ll move on and fill that spot with another warm body.
All these firms position themselves with the public as having some special marketing or sales ability that exceeds that of other companies. The truth is that the marketing and sale of any home or the proper representation of a homebuyer is something that is in the hands of the individual agent, not the company on their business card. Experience, knowledge and initiative are the keys to being able to represent a client’s needs, and especially the ability to think fast and adapt quickly to challenges that almost always arise in the course of any home purchase.
We started Clocktower Realty in 2005 with a simple purpose—to create a different perspective on real estate sales. One where the client never questions that the advice they’re being given is to serve their best interest, regardless if it ends in a sale or not. When working with any of our agents, you can expect someone that listens and understands your unique situation whether you’re a first-time buyer, investor or experienced home seller. We strive to keep informed of changing market conditions at all times so as to provide our clients with the best advice to make informed decisions.
